Why Vote for Ann?

Respect for Your Money

Ann knows how to stretch a dollar – she has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity and for the businesses and non-profits she has managed.

As mayor, overseeing Town budgets, Ann understands the complexities and digs deep.

She introduced millions in new federal and other grant income, saving you property tax dollars while adding new services.

Ann finds savings & balances budgets without big tax increases.

Track Record

To get big things done, you need to inspire people to action. For decades, Ann has mobilized volunteers and donors to transform our town, including creating Dominion Gardens Park, saving historic Devereaux House, and founding Trees for Halton Hills.

As mayor, Ann has specially championed:

  • tree planting & environmental action
  • mixed use & commercial revitalization on Guelph St.,
  • preserving our historic character while planning for housing & business growth
  • key support for new health facilities: North Halton Hospice, Bennett Village expansion & Georgetown Hospital

Ann’s vision & hard work will keep big things happening in our Town.

Getting the Basics Right

Nobody likes potholes or messy public spaces. We take pride in our maintained roads, infrastructure and attractive parks and facilities.

Ann joined other GTA mayors & lobbied against illegal truck yards* being allowed to pollute our farmland. The province is finally listening.

Ann’s steady experience and drive will keep our Town cared-for and resilient.

Growth on our Terms

Preserving the unique character of our towns, hamlets, and rural areas is important. Ann is anti-sprawl and supports development (like a new Costco!) where it fits and opposes when it does not.

Look at the record* - Ann pushes back on proposed growth if it’s in the wrong place.

Small Town Living

When 88% of residents* think our Town is a good place to live, you know we’re doing something right. The secret is council leadership - ensuring young families, long-time residents and seniors thrive in our friendly, well-managed community with its rural-urban mix.

Ann’s reliable leadership preserves our charm.

Ann's Acton Impact

As mayor, Ann worked behind the scenes, pitching CBC & Still Standing producers to film & showcase Acton – It’s Worth the Drive! And now we’re back on the national map.

Acton is getting its share of infrastructure improvements such as the $1.7M repaving of Mill & Main and other road works.

Ann is behind the Fairy Lake Revival! new tree planting & Credit Valley Conservation projects - funded by new money from region & federal sources.

New health facilities: North Halton Hospice, long term care expansion and a new hospital have Ann’s key support.

With Ann as mayor, Acton has new attention & services. What did others do?
